From the Workshop to the Stage (October - December 2018)
We develop new talent through monthly improv and comedy workshops that we are hosting in collaboration with Tim Hellendrung (Huge Improv Theater), Heather Meyer (Brave New Workshop) and John Gebretatose (Director of Inclusion, Huge Improv Theater). Participants of these workshops will have an opportunity to use their performance skills on the Cabaret stage and get compensated as well, helping to develop more diverse artists.
Anticipated Qualitative Outcomes and Goals:
1. Expose Twin Cities community to comedy by APIDA women and allies.
2. Disrupt stereotypes about APIDA women by featuring raw, uncensored comedy by APIDA women.
3. Create a platform for APIDA women to perform and expose their work.
